I've been saying this, also. It's probably one of the one of the only "privilges" remaining. Maybe money privilege is more widespread. But pretty can buy money privilege. Soon, pretty people will be required to cover their faces in public. Because equality.

A handsome man will probably have a better chance at getting a job but a pretty woman will have her pick of wealthy men to marry and not have to put in the same work for that wealth and it's all done through mutual choices.
