Pretty disingenuous from you Mike. He’s explained his reasoning behind each individual take, and they’re all consistent. You’re descending into click bait territory.
-
I remember him jumping on the bandwagon against the Covington kids as soon as it hit. And he didn’t wait for the facts. It was on his podcast. Then he backtracked. He has a tendency to prejudge anyone that comes off as extra pro trump.
-
That’s true, he did react quickly. That’s the downside of a daily show, people want your reaction before all the details have come out. If I remember correctly, he said something like “this looks bad if this is all there is to it”. But at least he admits when he’s wrong.
-
He could have reacted without assuming the kids were in the wrong. I like Ben, but occasionally he prejudges people and their intentions. If it’s negative for trump, he’s giddy, and mocks him. If positive, he is far less giddy and just “stays objective”
-
Yeah that’s a fair assessment. I don’t think there’s anything nefarious about it, he just doesn’t like Trump personally and so any time something comes out, that’s the main force behind his take. You would think that he’d have learned by now to not take MSM at their word though
-
That is an excellent way to put it. I agree completely

I follow both of you and take something from both, but in the time I’ve followed Shapiro I haven’t seen any of the things you mention. Not sure where you get this info. I think you are confusing the level of support for a lack of it at all.
-
He absolutely condemned the Cov kids before facts were revealed. On his podcast. Then backtracked. I can’t speak to the Roseanne deal.
-
2) but he generally follows up with the correct conclusion. Cernovich, although interesting, seems to have no constant principles. He throws everything at the wall and when something sticks he declares himself pure and everyone else lacking. There is room for both, but if-

Is it just me or does Ben sound like one of those freakish munchkins in the Wizard of Oz?

I don’t recall hearing
@benshapiro “join the hate mob against the Covington kids” or “celebrate” Roseanne being fired..... Where is your proof?? -
I remember him condemning the Covington kids before the truth was exposed. Defending the Native American guy and pouncing on the Cov kids. I don’t remember the exact words, but the sentiment was the same. Judging before the facts. On his podcast. And then backtracked

The more things that happen the more he wears on me. Sort of like Ann Coulter ...

Ann who? I’ve disowned her?
