Similar for me. I “died” on the operating table March 12th 2009 at around 8:30 AM. I had the most beautiful experience imaginable. Part of it was seeing myself born. I described it to my mother and she was shocked as to how accurate it was.
When I had a near death experience on 5-Meo-DMT. Have read many a book on DMT, they still can’t explain its purpose other than to keep us sane by removing us from reality

Even that's uncertain. DMT is released when you sleep, but there is no definitive reason to believe that it causes dreams and doesn't have some other unknown purpose. Dreams are only remembered when you wake up, who's to say they are not simply an artifact of memory upon waking?

I often go to places in dreams. I have no doubt that these places aren't just creations of my mind, it's just way too elaborate. I don't believe in reincarnation, per se, even though my dreams would compel me to. Something is not "right".
