1) This doesn't sound remotely funny. 2) It does sound incredibly cruel.

There's a special place in Hell for these people. Being unemployed for any length of time when you have dependants is physically and mentally painful. I imagine these people will call their loved ones, so excited to be back on track with a salary/health insurance. Horrible.

Honestly, how can someone think this is a good idea? Next they’ll film people who are terminally ill and tell them they’re cured? Just awful.

The backlash would be too severe. It’ll never air. Can’t believe it was even produced. What a waste of time.

If they end up paying the people that get pranked then it might not be such a bad deal since these people likely need the money and would be getting it for being on TV.
-
They would have to be paying them a crap ton of money - $500,000+. But, knowing Hollywood, it would probably be more in the vicinity of $500.

Agree, this made me sad and upset. That young man from Stranger Things should learn compassion.

Unless they're gonna also pay the people a nice chunk of change there's really no redeeming aspect to this. Now if they told you they were gonna give you a $40k a year job and then just gave you $40k for that day's work...
