Always cracks me up when medical doctors are compelled to pipe up and pretend to be the only capable arbiters of who should and shouldn't be giving advice (for almost everything, but mostly) in regards to health and healthcare.

The deaths are from illicit street drugs. Chronic pain patients and now patients in acitevpain from surgery and severe accidents can’t get doctors to prescribe strong pain medications. People with broken bones are being told to use ibuprofen and apply ice.

Geez, it's like no one even reads the articles. She never gave any advice! She's just in opposition to giving the government ability to force people with compromised immune systems to be vaccinated.

They do give a lot people the taste for opiods when some ibuprofen would do. From my experience they dont even numb the pain they just make you relax so much you cant care about it. I dont think they should be illegal though it only makes the addiction financially lethal.

And now they also underprescribe opiods for people in severe pain in the days after major surgeries.

A lot of this is patient driven. Most patients don't want to actually change their lifestyle (the source of 70% of medical problems). They want a "quick fix", which drug companies are happy to sell them. The responsible patient is so rare, doctors just assume "quick fix".

Hospital acquired infections are so bad there is now a market for testing for these diseases. People really need to get over blind worship of doctors. A medical degree does not automatically make one a genius. Some passed with an A but many scraped by with a C. Most doctors make assumptions based on false or incomplete information given by the patient.
