When a member of Congress was accused of sexual harassment, the case went to a secret court known as the Office of Compliance. Hidden from public view, Congress's Office of Compliance paid out over $17 million for 264 settlements involving misconduct and sexual harassment.

They should be taken to court just like anyone else who commits an offense. There is a similar story in the British news this morning about NDAs or Non Disclosure Agreements, in which women have been abused at work esp. in public offices and those offences are swept under the rug

I have no problem with NDAs between private parties, but it's undermining to self-governance when public agencies use them, especially elected representatives. It's a violation of the public trust.
