  I only started realizing this about people in the last few years and what quickly followed was a 2nd realization which was the fact I’m able to puts me on an island. And there can even be more than two contradictory pieces. Then it gets real fun.

  Correct. It is not a small matter it can lead to many unfortunate outcomes including violence and mental illness. Far bigger problem than we realize. Very intelligent people can not do this. No one teaches this skill.
