It's socially acceptable to hate on short men, who are born that way. While it's unacceptable to make fun of fat women, who could get fit if they wanted to bad enough.

Height is a social construct.

It is real, but it’s also not a big deal. I’m a 5’5” guy. I have no desire to be with a woman taller than me and totally understand why they don’t want to be with me. There are plenty of short girls out there. I gueas that makes my little ass a “heightist”, too. No apologies.

I'm 6'1" and I reach for things on high shelves for short people all the time. But if I ever ask one of them to bend over and hand me something up off the floor there's Hell to pay.

I'm 5 foot 8 and my wife is 5 foot 11. Maybe we're the exception to the rule. I think it's in a woman's hypergamous nature though to associate (mistakenly?) height and protection. Men seek out youth and beauty. Women seek out protection and provision. If you're short be scary

5'9" here. My dear Wife is 6'2". Works for us.

I'm Hispanic...my dad has begun to take week long motorcycle rides in Mexico...I'd worry more, but since he was raised in Texas, he's at least 4 inches taller than the average Mexican. In his leathers he could come off as a Cartel enforcer...

I’ve wondered whether the main factor preventing nearly every human being around the same height was availability of food, so in places where food was scarce, height was lower. But I’ve also read increased height correlates with increased chance of cancer too.
-
I saw an analysis that purported that the height/cancer relation was purely due to the increased number of cells in the body Quite interesting

It’s preference, not discrimination.

I am 5’1 and my husband is 6’5. Our height difference is noticeable. We are cool with it but, it wasn’t a factor in dating each other.

This! Of course, when I tell my wife men get discriminated against in different ways then women, she just starts getting mad and yells at me.

It's only natural that women prefer taller men, it's biology. Biology is ignored however when it comes to men's biological advantages. In those cases it's due to discrimination.

Prehistorically, It was a matter safety & survival to mate & reproduce with the tallest, strongest male.

I was propositioned by a taller girl when I was 16. Thin as a stick and a taller than my 6’ft 2. I was weirded by this and reminded by your tweet, but the one persistent memory I have of this girl is how beautiful she was and how stupid I was at the time for feeling weird.
