Its common on the streets/trailer parks. A huge difference in usage between the n word ending in an a or an er also. It's not a racist term when used as slang. My lil bros best friend is black, he calls me the n word and I'm "white". it's cultural but not to be thrown around.

The n word is a curse word to me- same as the f word. People use curse words all the time. I’d rather they didn’t but I hear foul language all the time out of many people- I’m not going to say using foul language is an unforgivable error.
