In 1986 Congress gave vaccines the status of UNAVOIDABLY UNSAFE, and for the past 33 years that has been the legal status of vaccination. Where there is risk, there must be choice. No medical procedure should be forced and without choice, it's a dangerous direction we are headed.

My #1 reason is that while I have a responsibility toward my fellow citizens, my first obligation and Right is control over my own body. Without that, all other Rights are hollow.
-
Abso-freakin-lutely! There are no freedoms if we aren't free to determine what goes into our bodies. All of this really has very little to do with vaccines. It's about the right to say NO. We are looking at the end of that right and a new era of non-autonomy.
-
It's also possible - I hope - that this is the low point as the tyrannical implulses finally causes the necessary pushback. As
@ScottAdamsSays there really is't a slippery slope. A trend continues until it doesn't. There IS a silent majority.

Unless YOU are willing to accept liability if my child was injured or killed by vaccines then no one has the right to force me to vaccinate my child. When I fight for my freedom, I'm fighting for your freedom too.

What if they don’t mandate vaccinations, but limit how unvaccinated kids can participate in school / other public places?
-
Unvaccinated children pose no additional threat to anyone. There is ZERO evidence that unvaxxed children perpetuate spread of infection. In the 2015 Disneyland measles outbreak, over 35% of those infected had a VACCINE STRAIN of measles. The MMR vaccine itself can spread measles.

Look @
@StabellBenn - she is extremely pro-vaccine and is first to say no one should be forced or mandated to vaccinate. She says it is up to the pro-vax community to educate everyone why they should take and trust vaccination products. She points out both (+) & (-) of vaccines.

The idea of the government forcibly injecting people with things is dangerous.

3 methods to mitigate vaccine injury: 1. Repeal the 1986 NCVIA 2. Check titers before injections 3. Test for genetic mutations like MTHFR
-
More QC checks on vaccines. Latest Oz flu vaccine was found to be watered down, many have already died this year.

I think we should mandate vaccinations so we can enjoy our freedoms.

That’s the progressive viewpoint in a nutshell. Thank you for putting it so succinctly. Let’s all get chipped too while we are at it.

"My body, my choice" is good for some, except for when it comes to vaccines. Then it's "make it mandatory" The double standard is beyond glaring for those people.

I'd rather take the risk of my child getting measles then have to deal with a lifetime of suffering through autism.

You are wonderful, the very image of a public intellectual, posing challenging questions to the public.
