There is an irrational pull to be where the “action” is when you are young After that, you get stuck in cities because of job reasons, high costs of living, and the perception of better schools

Rural living usually requires accepting added responsibilities & going without the variety of quick gratification, but enough space keeps the world from affecting your life. City living relieves you of responsibilities, but requires faith in humans, & in the city not degrading.
