I'm seeing more and more people saying, "I used to be pro-choice, more or less, but then I saw that the pro-choice people really want no limit whatever on it - and I can't be part of that." Myself included.

Same with gender identity. 5 years ago I was 'meh' on trans. 2 years ago I was 'I accept and respect your choices, but you're being a little unreasonable.' Today I am nearly anti-transgender transition altogether.
-
"Respect my feelz and my gender choice!" I have a lot more respect for someone who realizes he has psychological problems and tries seriously to get them treated before getting his joy-boy lopped off.

I'm almost to the point that reconciliation between the Left and reasonable people will never happen again.Let's thoughtfully divide the country before it's forcefully torn in half.

I always imagine just carving out California and gently pushing it out to sea

It's partly because all the rationalist accounts have been deleted, you're just left with crazies now I feel much the same way, I was always pro-choice but these people are batshit crazy

I had a couple of abortions as a young woman that haunt me now. I was in too bad a place to have children but should have been more responsible about getting pregnant in the first place. I treated it like a form of birth control and have mixed feelings about abortion now.

I ,too, wish you the best as you move forward, Carolyne!

I agree, reading through the comments I think certain elements of humanity need to be wiped out.

Like with an abortion?

After one miscarriage I did a complete 180, staring at my own tiny baby in my hands... I’m so sad at the heartlessness. The lack of compassion. All humanity has a common denominator.
