Agree. Those who oppose abortion on sentience of the fetus grounds, should oppose eating sentient animals. Likewise, vegans and vegetarians should apply the sentience argument to unborn humans and oppose abortion at least after a certain point.
This is a moral/ethical debate that often lacks nuance and subtlety. If you come to a landing on your position and aren’t a bit uncomfortable with certain elements of where you end up, you’ve clearly not thought it through enough.

No I never read Singer but I saw him in an interview. I don't have to subject myself to a true "handicapped" person.

I haven't read his work, but that doesn't matter when you believe that life starts at conception, and also believe that it's murder that could have been avoided had the person been responsible.
Life is a miracle that is infinitely greater than the sum of all the physical parts that make us human. Life is a great gift. The greatest gift of all. A gift from God. Claiming that, “I don’t believe in a god”, doesn’t give you power over the sanctity of life, even in the womb.
That was mean and beneath you. You expressed compassion for incapable mothers and unwanted children in your tweet, why not give the same to your questioner? I don’t know him; maybe he WAS being glib, but I thought he was curious

Treating wives & daughters as property & doing whatever you wanted to them was legal until the 19th Amendment. Constitutional amendments were written to outlaw & punish this Behavior. Legislators should make the laws about #abortion not courts.
