A year ago I would have told you I was pro-choice, but seeing the way abortion is celebrated is sickening and has forced me to confront the pro-life arguments.

Ought to be. I cautioned our 4 daughters thus: you're the child-bearing sex and so, the consequences of pregnancy will weigh far more heavily on you; you need to be the most responsible one when it comes to sex. Wouldn't allow them to play the 'victim'.

I have a cousin, who has not seen his children in months, he continues to pay child support. The mother is refusing him visitation, even tho she was court ordered
-
So sad. I believe he should call e police to document the incidents and take her back to court - no lawyer needed.

Segway this with the same camp that says “Women are strong and independent.”

Men who whine about child support are told they should have used protection. It is widely available and common knowledge. Same applies to women. Treating women like ignorant victims DOES NOT advance womens' causes.

The law should be that separated parents are required to have equal time, equal share of support and equal responsibility. Too many kids are used as bargaining chips.

I have watched the faux feminists growing assault on men and fathers for decades. They have cudgelled the Justice system into biased decisions. Revolting, and the coming backlash is about time.

this has been bothering me a lot the last few days~if the man wants to keep the baby and the woman aborts anyhow, as a woman, i think the man should have some recourse, what do you think?
-
If abortion is allowed, I agree that a man who wants to have a child is infringed upon if the mother does not. But I do not believe that infringement outweighs the infringement upon the mother. However, if the intentions were reversed and the father was in...

...opposition to having a child, he should not have to pay child support when he did not consent to the birth. If abortion by choice is illegal, then the abdication of responsibility by either should be disincentivise. That's my two cents anyway.

If a man does not pay child support he still has a legal right to see his children. That is law in my state and I imagine it is the law everywhere else. That same man could be put in jail and then he couldn’t see his kids.

men should have the same right as women to decide not to be a parent & to be free from any responsibility in raising the child. Essentially, a male abortion.

I agree with all points but to be fair, men don't go through pregnancy.

Both should be responsible, sadly that isn't the case. Doubtful majority use as birth control, it's expensive. Higher rates of abuse on unwanted kids. In Ala. if lawsuits don't stop new law, repercussions will be home abortions, abandoned babies, etc.

100% agree with you Mike. This is one of the best threads I have read on this topic! Thanks for that!

I have to agree with you about the fairness not seeing your own child. It certainly does apply to women as well. When my husband and I separated I took on the sole responsibility taking care of them without asking for support and he still had equal rights if he wanted too.

not fair but mayb better health for kid
