We got Trump because we needed him.

I say this all the time to people who are so mad about Trump and don't realize they're doing the things that brought him to the White House and are keeping him there:

What’s amazing to me is, the left thinks they had nothing to do with Trump getting elected. They had everything to do with it.

this is assuming that Trump is a punishment. First of all, who has been punished since Trump got in? Who is doing financially worse? Who has lost a job since he got in? How many have died in useless wars? Do I think he's a panacea? No, but I'm not sure what perfection would be.

Actually, we don’t “deserve” him. He’s doing us a favor.
