I read ( and at one time spoke ) Arabic and have been following ME for 50+ years, and I have a hard time determining rights vs wrongs of Yemeni politics.
The argument goes as follows - Houthis rebels, funded by Iran, as responsible for most of the civilian deaths. Is that true or not? Who you gonna trust - The Brookings Institute (funded by Qatar), the Trump Admin (big arms deal with Saudi Arabia)? Sorry to say, in Yemen there is - and always has been - a shortage of money, and a surplus of religion. No change there .
