At least 25% of Republicans are really just Democrats that could only get elected with a R in front of their name on a ballot. At least that's the case in Alabama. @RepMarthaRoby is a good example.

Do you see an opportunity to bring any enforcement or class action? What would it take?

If one goes on a platform, contributes free content, brings users to the site, and builds a brand, that person has given consideration in exchange for using the platform and arguably has a vested property interest in his pages, ID, and content. To steal that is a crime.

Complain we should. The squeaky door gets the oil. I don't think platforms should be able to censor any more than telephone companies can decide who you can talk to. They spy and sell advertising. They are not thought police.

The dirty little secret though is the GOP is fine with that...they do not like the tea party/MAGA types and are just fine with their voices silenced....obviously

Paul Ryan squandered the opportunity of a lifetime and the ones who jumped ship and decided not to run again were for the most part cowards.

They started off with LauraL and saw that they could get away with banning her. Then they move on to other more vocal conservatives because silencing the voice of T-supporters whilst promoting the fierce criticism of his critics will break the soul & spirit of his supporters!Evil

Censorship violates Civil Rights. Will Chamberlain has it right. Civil Rights legislation addressed PRIVATELY owned restaurants, motels, stores, and gas stations banning Black people. Net cos. as configured today are just as public and open for business to ALL.

Twitter hasn't banned DJT, despite his best efforts, so I'd say social media is working well for Republicans.

I think social media has less influence on voting than people think. I believe the social media sites will destroy themselves without having much affect on politics. I'm just gonna stand back and watch them burn.

Do you think Trump could be in trouble in 2020?
-
If they shut trump’s account down he won’t win. I’m willing to bet on it.
-
I don't know though, it would be a big deal if a tech company silenced the sitting president. I think it would make people more motivated to vote for him. You also may be 100% correct.
-
It would be a very bad move if they did. The fact is that he has retweeted and gets a lot of his information from some of the people and news organizations they have banned. A retweet by him alone reaches far more people than all of those Individual twitter accounts combined
