Yes. But when the bombings in Sri Lanka happened where was the full throated condemnation by those on the left or even center ? Hell even many libertarians didn't give a damn but most conservatives did.

So I think Christians see across the board condemnation and rightfully so of Christchurch but half hearted to very little to no condemnation of the Sri Lanka bombings and ask why ?
-
And it leads to many thinking why is the left aligned w radical Islam?

Murder justified in any kind of "manifesto", ancient or new and homegrown is despicable. It doesn't take a Cerno to figure that out.

Every person had a right to their beliefs, the truth is.. every group has its crazies... people are notoriously good at finding justifications for abhorrent behaviour... billions of religious people around the world practice their faith peacefully and all the power to them

Islam is a religion. Islam excelled in arts, education and enlightenment. Islam can be that again. But, not when this is happening. Please agree, this type of thinking of any religion should be shutdown.https://twitter.com/LeahR77/status/1124464072387452933?s=19 …

Slavery is thousands of years old as well. Something is not to be justified because of time, but only due to its intrinsic value within the human condition. How beneficial has it been to the development of human consciousness?

In “Radical”, Maajid Nawaz explains the difference between the the terms, Muslims (believers of Islam), Islam (the religion) and Islamists (radicals who want to impose their distorted version of Islam on everyone). Is this just a misunderstanding over the use of the terms?

Does anyone say Islam is not a religion? That's just bizarre. I'm willing to say that Islam seems to have a relatively high % of followers (relative to Christianity today) willing to injure or kill others in the name of Islam.

Islam is a number of things: It is a political system, it is a religion, it is a social code and legal framework, it is a culture, and it is a collection of individuals with similar (but not identical) beliefs, many are extremely hostile to Western culture & values.

I dont know much about it. i know it seems to spread quickly. and from the little bit i do see and hear and recall from recorded history It does not seem to peaceably meld/integrate within a society of a indifferent faith based culture. Thats not cool or very american like.
