I’ve told Loomer many times that I don’t feel the vibe on her Muslim stuff, and more generally don’t like how MAGA talks about Islam - But she doesn’t advocate violence, and she really does mean well. Talking more is the answer.

Read their Muslim literature. Find old editions, they’re more accurate. Maududi is good. The conversation would be one-way because the Prophet and his book are considered perfect, and hence reformation is impossible.

You are absolutely spot on there. Mega churches aren't about the gospel of Christ. They are all in it for vain imaginations; puffing up the flesh to show off their own self-righteousness, pushing true believers further from the truth about who they are in Christ!

Loomer is certainly extreme at times. But I do think Westerners have some legitimate concerns about radical Islam. For example, look at the laws prohibiting gay sex, and the penalties, in Muslim-majority countries.

I've lived in three Islamic countries and enjoyed each one. I've no problem holding the religion of Islam, Sharia law and actual Muslims as separate categories in my mind. I only object to the theocratic aspect of Sharia as incompatible with western civilization. Nothing else.
