I was twelve, staying at a friend's house, when his mother came in, crying', and said, "Your father just told me to get the f*ck out!" I left and never stayed again. I know I'm not the only one.

My parents constantly fought. Angry shouting and the throwing of objects was a norm in my house. Hardly ever had friends over. Didn't want them over, frankly.
