This is so true, because all that matters is you gotta know when to hold em. Know when to fold em. Know when to walk away, and know when to run.

It depends on what you’re doing. Working 6 am-9pm and getting nothing accomplished is useless. Working 830 am - 5 pm and because you’ve figured out what works most efficiently with the best results, I’ll hire that guy.

Do both and get twice as much done.

The irony is that working hard means you're working smart. Usually this hackneyed credo is shared by those who want to justify laziness and to gain an advantage over you.

'Think outside the box' is many times an excuse for a shortcut. It's a way to avoid the hard work. Master the fundamentals before you start 'shifting paradigms'.

You’re mostly correct about this. Bezos says to work both hard and smart. I tend to agree if you want to be truly next level

I've had this said to me and there is a distinct difference in our lives and mental state. Lazy people like to think their laziness is making them discover efficiency when it's actually just making them avoid the path to greatness

Not true at all. I work in the trades (electrician) and we in the industry say the 1st saying. If we didn't have that mentality people would be getting injured all the time. The Vegas saying on the other hand, never heard a tradesman say that in my 15 years in the trade.
