Conservatism: "I see a problem. I will place my vote with someone who will let me handle it myself in the way I decide is best for me and my family and community".
Leftist/neo-liberalism: "I see a problem. I will place my vote with someone who says they will force everyone to comply with the way that benefits them under threat of incarceration or violence".
I'm tired and that's probably why I'm not grasping what it this actually saying, or trying to convey.
In any remotely democratic enterprise, conservatism will *always* be a loser, because it is by default reactive and only exists in response to a more dynamic ideology. Who cares whether it’s moral or not. Its utility will always run to nil, because the call to action is weak.
Conservatism I think is just a carefulness, a sort of mindfulness not to rush to fast blindly like an overenthusiastic little kid running across the street after a ball. Conservatism involves attention and care.

Yes, conservatism sprung out of the idea that maybe the French Revolution was a bad idea.
To me, conservatism is strictly in terms of the US Constitution- conserving the Republic based on the foundation - conserving our God given rights
