The problem is, multiculturalism invariably leads to "us and them." It just does. People tend to prefer the values & behavior of their own group and to be offended by those of other groups. That breeds resentment, which stews awhile and eventually spills over into violence.

I’m glad that there was an off duty officer that was armed just sad to see that one person died 3 others injured. This is what I have said before no matter how much gun control there is the bad guy will always be able to get guns.

Psychology has noted that forms of mass killings change over time as the zeitgeist does. Serial killers were prevalent in the 70s, less so today—now it’s mass school/religious. Unpacking motive is difficult when quite often the bottom line is the perps are just plain deranged.
