Can we at least all agree they were pretty fucking stupid to not notice other people at their rallies had on hoods and torches and were chanting slurs against Jews? Maybe sit out your protest if that’s what’s going on around you that day.
There was legitimately a lot of bait-and-switch happening, and people who are not extremely online showed up without knowing what was going on.
I don’t doubt that. But it was eminently clear the night before and day of, is my point. I’ll leave the discussion of confederate veneration for another day.
