As someone who went through USMC boot camp, I can respectfully refute your claim. Yes Marines do bully, that’s the culture of the Marine Corps.

That's actually what I meant by "I don't think they do 'bullying'" and put bullying in quotes. The other way of putting thar would have been to say that "the idea that the character was 'bullied' in the marines is redundant." But I do take your point. Bullying is bullying.
