So true. We obsess about every little inconsistency we *think* we hear in Congressional testimony, failing to consider that people forget things, people recall things that never happened, etc. I've often said if my freedom depended on knowing what I ate 2 nights ago, I'm screwed.
Going through a lengthy fact check about my own life for a book (yeah some publishers still do those), and I legit got verifiable details about myself wrong ... yet another reason to never talk to the Feds! For real. They’ll let you talk and talk and any mistakes are felonies.
