Agreed. People who “paid in full” will be mad, but not proposing something reasonable (discharge through bankruptcy to start) allows bad proposals like those by Warren to win, because she’s at least suggesting a solution, to a real problem.

Put a cap on borrowing. Want free college? Serve in the military. Get a job and work your way through. This is ridiculous

I’m not paying a penny for someone else’s college. This outrage needs to be 100% directed at COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES

Take federal government out of the loan business, add the university into the loan so they have skin in the game along with the student's.

Where is the justice for those who paid their debt ? For those who did not incur it? This is logically flawed and will result in more division
-
Yes! They make it seem like somehow we are being unreasonable because we don’t want to pay for someone else’s lifestyle choices.

Unless this comes with caps on admin pay, gross misuse of tax money by school, and prevent them from non-profit status if they have a growing endowment then it’s really just another way to fleece taxpayers to help rich do nothings get richer and do less (ie Elizabeth Warren)

My mom is 70yo with major student debt and zero assets! She wants to go into assisted living, but Obamacare changed it so somebody has to sign power of attorney for her and take on her debt when she dies
who would do that? #EndTheFedThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

It shouldn’t be the public’s responsibility to pay for student loans, nobody forced them to take on such substantial debt
