The best part of being a parent is watching how they learn. Their undying fascination with leaning is never-ending.

Did she manage to put the chair there too? Resourceful is good, but not so much when your child manages to get out of the house when no one’s looking (like at 2 a.m.).

It’s what it’s all about. By age 3 my son had figured out to climb on a chair onto the kitchen worktop and get the crisps (chips) off the top of the refrigerator and take them to bed at 5am. The apocalypse comes I’m following him!

My daughter did this in the middle of the night after having a nightmare that her daddy was outside & needed her. Luckily I woke up before she was outside...a hotel style lock was added to the top corner after that.

Toddlers usually will try to think outside of the box, adults, not so much.

When I used to live with a roommate that had a 2 year old boy, he was the smartest toddler I had personally known. I had normal conversations with him and he would pick the lock from my door. It was until my roommate begin taking the boy to daycare when he begin dumbing down

She's obviously very smart, but you'll have to add some type of lock to ensure she doesn't get out on her own. That would be terrible.

This reminds me of my little sister. When she was the same age she got a small child’s set of table and chairs for Christmas. Within 30 minutes she was using one of the chairs to climb over the baby gate my little brother used to keep her out of his room. She’s a teacher now.
