Harder to get in the military than into most colleges. Harder to make the ‘grade’ too. Which makes it funny when liberals talk about how only the stupid go to military. And even funnier when they talk about revolution and taking guns from the ex-military.

But still worthwhile for military to continue to push their people to better standards. As for longer, more thorough training for all recruits... sweat more in peacetime & bleed less in battle

This is exactly why I left the conventional military for special operations. I was getting new soldiers who were all told the world would be fair no matter what they did.

Someday our soldiers will run into Chinese soldiers who walked 3 miles to school at 8 years old, until they were frozen. These men will kill with the emotions of robots. It scares me.

my question regarding this is, the pentagon has been aware of this problem. Although it has alot of sway in policy it has never seen it fit to "lobby" for physical fitness campaigns in highschool and use pro fitness propaganda.
