Too many law schools. Law serves a purpose, but you could close two-thirds of the schools and still meet the needs of society.
Going to law school is digging a huge hole you have to climb out of. That people think it’s a smart investment of time and money shows how outdated their thinking is.

Took the LSAT, got in the mid-1500 range, decided not to go since I wouldn't get into a tier 1 & started working rather than retaking the test after graduating. I don't regret my decision, but I do sometimes wonder what if.

I spent 5 years for computer engineering BS. My first job started me off at 165k total comp. I've only been working for 3 years full time & now my total comp is just shy of 300k. Good investment.

There was a system not so many years ago where law school was an option but not required to practice. All you needed was intern time and a lawyer to sign off asserting that the candidate knew their stuff. Take the bar, pass, and hang your shingle.

I have two close friends who practice law. Both have said the same thing. It took them quite sometime just to break even, but their dedication and perseverance eventually paid off. That doesn’t mean everyone will be successful though.
