Lol. Had a coworker 'subtly' insinuate I was gay like 3 hours ago when he saw me in a nice shirt/fresh haircut at the store. A nice shirt, as opposed to some slobbish Walmart/Spencer's graphic tee. That's all it takes, apparently

I honestly believe it doesn't have much to do with a "gay" issue. I think it has a lot more to do with self respect. If one doesn't have respect for themselves how can they ever get to the point of wanting to look good for their partner?

Yes I agree although the gay community does put a huge emphasis on looks. Much more so than straight men.

True and I think that's an outgrowth of self respect as well. Being gay and being able to openly admit it and not feel as if you are abnormal has huge implications for ones feeling of self worth & respect. And that certainly would have implications for how one views their looks
