Theory is Dems will do it anyway as they don’t respect rules, which isn’t unreasonable given that Democrats “started” it with Bork.
Bork had an up/down vote in the Senate and was rejected. McConnell’s Senate refused to hold hearings to even attempt to let Obama fill vacancies in certain federal judiciary seats for up to seven years. The malfeasant one is and always has been McConnell.

Obama left behind a huge # of judicial vacancies. Trump is working quickly to fill them - and now could do it even more quickly. Trump won't leave behind such a hole for a future D admin.
