AOC plays to her base. That she triggers MAGA shows her talking points are working. Her goal isn’t to persuade MAGA, it’s to rally her supporters around her based on the “attacks” she faces. Amusing to me that few understand this game yet.

I think her real job is to be the scapegoat for putting out ultra-radical proposals (well beyond what would actually pass as law) in order that more "moderate" (yet still ultra-radical) compromises do pass. Just a theory.

What no politician on the right understands is you diffuse AOC by “taking” some of her hot button issues - addressing them - then putting your spin on them. Now she is no longer the only one addressing these concerns. Dismissing her is bad - exposing her as an extremist is good.
