Those were the days, rushing to class to copy someone’s homework before the bell Homework was for nerds!!

My kids have homework but it isn't excessive. I love their school but I would abolish homework if I could. I didn't do a lick of HW in high school

Way too many. I'm always looking for the teachers that assign less homework but more "passion projects".

If it’s less than when AOC was in school, we’re in more serious trouble than I thought.

Far too many, I have a couple, granted they are in advanced programs but it’s 4-6 hours a night and more on the weekend, it’s criminal. Most of the time I wonder if as a father I should tell them to just drop it, have a childhood and teach them entrepreneurship.

My 16-year-old hs sophomore (public school) averages 4 hrs per night and more over the weekend. He is an A student and takes only honors classes but he also has a study hall. He does math in study hall so the 4 hrs are for remaining subjects: Science, English, History & German.

If you homeschool, zero. My daughter is in 9th grade public junior high AP/GT and has average of 4 hours every night. It is insane. She is in top 4% of class of 926 students. Public school hours inefficient.

I like the recommendation of maximum of 10 minutes per grade level per night. I have many concerns with the politicization of the educational system in what the teach and the decreasing standards of grading. Our youth are not getting a proper education

Too many! My Kindergartener has 15min of reading plus another 15-30 min of worksheets, spelling words, sentences plus occasional projects. She’s 5! My 8th grader is at 1-3hours. Both in private school.

I honestly despised it. Combined with mandatory (thanks to parents) martial arts classes every night, I wasn't getting home until 930 every day. I had zero hours of "me" time all throughout high school.

I took a few AP courses when i was still in HS a few years ago. I'd be up doing homework all day. I wasn't the only one.

Boston suburbs...anywhere from a 1/2 hour to 4 hours...it can be excessive....especially with how demanding sports are these days. You can't just play town, all the kids play club as well. It's craziness.
