What a life, fighting in a BS war and being captured, only to have your govt leave you behind to rot in a POW camp for the rest of your life all to preserve the fragile ego of the people in charge.

God that was a heart breaking read, but very convincing article. Shocking

I recall watching one of the POW committee hearings on C-Span where Kerry & McCain were the leaders mentioned in the referenced article & being quite surprised by the antagonistic attitude displayed by both of them towards the possibility of remaining POWs.

Years ago I never would have believed the USG would knowlingly hide info about POWs in VN. Now I believe they would have. “Rambo” and “Braddock” were right.

War heros don't train enemy combatants, nor do the cause massive loss of life on their own ship, from negligence.. They don't even accept bribes that they pretend are just random contributions when they become politicians. ALL OF WHICH McCain actually did..

but.... what of his POW time? and refusal his preferential deferment to escape that that he refused and thus remained in for more than a year?
