I read it back in ‘01 but all I remember was that it introduced me to the concept of memes and self replicating ideas. Worth a re-read.

Howard Bloom is a compulsive liar, I bought this book and wanted to read it but after watching him in interviews and looking him up I threw the book out, someone who lies that much I can’t trust their writing
