I can get behind school loan debt reform. But only for students who graduated. Universities should be forced to pay for those who did. Next, schools should take on the risk of lending money to students they deem worth investing in. No more federally secured loans from the banks.

Nobody in their right mind would loan a 20 year old, 120k to buy a Ford Pinto and most of the student loan debt was used to obtain degrees even more worthless than the before mentioned piece of shit car.

If it can be discharged in bankruptcy...it is time for the government to get out of loaning money and you will see college lending dry up. Not a bad thing. It would work on college loans on a go forward basis, you cannot alter those debts now due to contract law.
