Get the government out of the loan game. It pushes up the cost of tuition.

Cernovich is absolutely right. Younger generation was told college was the path to success (which Boomers also know are indoctrination centers) Understand there was no real "choice" for younger generation They took loans because that was the next (only) step to success

TRADE SCHOOL IS THE BEST CHOICE

This scandal is happening to the students and their families, by the universities, that are not providing a product worth borrowing for or paying for.

Mike I paid for my sons to go to college and their debt is minimal, I am not affluent at all, I worked three jobs while they where in school and paid college like a mortgage in installments. Why should my hard earned tax dollars go towards students who did it wrong way

There is a group in Illinois, led by a former Gubernatorial candidate that has done amazing work on the corruption of Ivy League schools bilking taxpayers. It's time to collapse the college rackets. https://www.openthebooks.com/

Make student loans dischargeable under bankruptcy. Points: not all student loans were taken out by 18 year-olds. Much is taken out by grad students. Other amounts are taken out by older students to live on so that they don't have to get a job (anecdotal info on that).

I took out 15 thousand twenty years ago and I thought that was a lot of money back then. Now it’s insane. If you have a worthless degrees you can be chained to your student loan for a long time.

Some options to suggest... Finance loan forgiveness by a tax on U's endowment. Also, not full forgiveness...50-90% maybe? Depending on total. Also look at parent wealth. Going forward? Max $40k on 4 yr deg. & STEM only. Also, expunge U bureaucracy of admin/compliance staff.

What a lot of people don’t know also is that they can’t often even get rid of them if you are awarded medical/psychiatric disability

I’m a boomer... And you’re right I am against. I didn’t borrow and recently put 4 kids thru college on my dime. I guess I should’ve been smart and borrowed the 300,000.
