Absolutely. Same holds true for law. I attended
@UCincinnatiLaw and practiced for 30 years. In countless matters working both with and against lawyers from those "elite" schools, can't think of a single time that I met anyone brighter or better prepared than me and my classmates.Thanks. Husband teaches a class at Georgetown Law. Was told this semester all his exams will now be take home. Virtually impossible to fail, which is what the administration wants. College is such a racket.

So true. Terrible grade inflation Our daughter went to Davidson. Average GPA was 2.9. One summa about every two years. A person who graded MCAT’s once told me the Ivy Leagues really inflated grades.

Correct. Many aren't rigorous and yet: https://www.ed.gov/accreditation . But if you call them out publicly with proof (I did...), some will be shamed into some form of action. Remember this?: https://njersy.co/2Q4ZFhs Cleared for 'speech' - but now on suspension (media doesn't report that)

As@much as it pains me to say my son attends a State college and I often wonder what they are actually teaching. High school was even worse, no wonder why we need universal paychecks.

This raises the question, in today's world does having high social status and connections a better guarantee for success than actually having great talent and intelligence?

They might very well not. They are demanding; but they might not be AS demanding as some smaller, private colleges.

This is very true. But then again the whole education system is a joke. Explains why so many people are able to attend university whilst being a box of rocks.

@Harry1T6 I see it myself. I’ve only been out a couple decades, but the academy has degraded beyond repair since then. 90%+ of the people graduating in anything other than STEM right now are worthless in their fields. They will ruin STEM soon enough too.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
