Hundreds of thousands have been slaughtered horribly in the last few decades—in genocides, etc.—all the while there’s a disproportionate focus on Israel. At the very worst, you could say they’ve poorly dealt with a complex post-war border situation. The obsession is striking.

No it's just the acknowledgement that a two-state solution can't work anymore because Israel has fractured the West Bank so much so now they need to end the apartheid and treat Arabs is equals and have a one state solution which Jewish people there won't do because of Zionism.

The real answer is: if a nation can defend its rights, it has those rights. But in a world where we try to negotiate issues like these, every country has, at minimum, sovereignty.

The 'right to exist' is a propaganda phrase used regarding Israel all the time. I have no idea what it means. Does Syria have the right to exist? Libya? Iraq etc.
