What if I told you that we have at least 10,000 years of power available to us at this very moment and we just aren’t using it. Instead it sits in fields aging away doing nothing.

Taking scarcity out of the equation makes it very hard to justify inflated retail prices for energy. Or continue to allow dark profits from nefarious orgs to continue. Imagine that energy, like air, was ‘free’. That’s a fundamental human right I could get behind.

And the plants during non-peak hours could use the heat to make safe drinking water as well. Free Energy and Free Water. Think about that.

We definitely could power all of humanity at US levels of electrical power for ten millenia (at least) by mining #thorium. The amount the U.S. has buried as waste, however, is a few years of electrical for the U.S.

#thorium is about as 'rare' as lead. It also is in tailings (leftover dirt) of rare earths mining. Since it is radioactive, we must dispose of it 'properly' as rad industrial waste.

The 10,000 years I am talking about are currently extracted Uranium. No need to mine it.

Are you referring to DU stocks at sites such as Paducah? I've made crude calculations...https://twitter.com/OskaArcher/status/984403779830214656?s=19 …

BP statistics state US electrical demand was 4,350 TWh through 2016. A PRISM power block makes 4.9 TWh annually. Therefore, 887 of them would meet all US demand for 560 years & consume all Paducah's DU. 五 pic.twitter.com/AcyQJesmo7

We could easily reduce emissions in America by half without anything close to a massive government takeover. Just build more nuclear plants in exactly the manner Schneider describes in his thread. The fact that this isn't being discussed is proof that AOC and company are frauds

The "Green New Deal" would throw the global economy into chaos and quickly cause WW3 if attempted, and even then, it wouldn't reduce emissions nearly as much as simply building a couple nuclear plants. Environmentalists of the modern Left are a dangerous irrational death cult.

All this was known, proven tech in 1980, commercialized in France before 1990. Didn't move the dial for the environmental extremists who caused global warming by killing nuclear.
