Agreed on all except feeling sad for him. He's a big boy, he made big boy decisions with his life and that of those close to him. No sympathy.

He admitted his faults, he apologized, he did the right thing and came forward to testify to Congress and the American people. Let’s apply the same measures to Trump. Go ahead...I’ll wait.

He's accepted responsibility for years of blind devotion. It can't be easy to know and admit you were duped for so long. But, although it's of no comfort for him, he's not the first that believed a snake oil salesman.
-
A lawyer is the one that understands the snake oil merchant better than he does. Think about it. Ones a top lawyer, ones a business man.. besides lawyers are blindly devoted to no one (I understand why that would be hard for you to believe given yours. Your better than that.).
-
Lawyers aren't infallible, he fell for the trump bluster, for the fake persona. It can happen to anyone, it happened to millions of US citizens.

And is still happening

Michael Cohen does blame himself. He regrets his actions. As should all of Trump's enablers. I hope we see them all brought low.
