Forgetting specific institutions, state or private, I don't feel any gift should be taxed. Even if I oppose a university's liberal ideology. Endowments should be considered charitable donations.
I agree, I live in Cambridge and Harvard owns everything but give nothing. Elizabeth Warren what do you think about this? Equality?
