@AJA_Cortes My current, cyclical method: 1. Eat a nutritious diet, w/ carbs like steel cut oats & sourdough bread. Train lots. Build muscle & put on some fat. 2. Fasting / low carb / calorie restriction to shave off that fat, don't expect muscle gain. 3. Repeat Good idea? -

Yup. Fasting is the greatest thing ever. One 38 hr long fast executed per week can lead to dramatic results in 5 months.

You wanna bulk up & build? You eat carbs and load accordingly. You wanna get lean and reduce mass? You cut carbs down to a minimal amount. There polar opposites for a reason. Why is this so hard to understand?

My entire life weight gain and loss has been tied directly to my mental state and willpower which dictated my carb consumption. With the exception of cancer weight loss, I've always blown up when I stopped eating low carb diet. Currently on the upswing.
