The worst hole spotted was in 2005 and and a new holes pop up from time to time. At the time when the Montreal accord was signed the process of Ozone thinning was poorly understood.

Ozone hole unchanged since first discovered in late 1970s. Montreal Protocol has done nothing but delay air-conditioning to billions of poorer people around the world by needless price inflation.

In 1970s I was told the world was going to end in 30 years from pollution. I wish I was making this up but I wasn’t. Check out the first Earth Day. It scared the hell out of me - I believed it until some blue collar redneck set me down and set me straight.

When I was a kid (I'm 57), we were told there was going to be an ice age soon.

They were actually right ...maunder minimum ..basically the sun goes into hibernation for a small period of time...the sun began this process about 2 yrs ago and is slowly winding down into full hibernation
