36 hour fast to start with, then a 20 hour fast with 4 hour eating window. You learn a lot about yourself during fasts.

Some say "tea" isn't "allowed" on a fast, and that's fine, I'll block those people. The kind of people who want to argue over what a "real" fast is aren't the kind of people you want in your life, offline or online.

Fasting gives you a sense of clarity we rarely have in this world. When you're hungry and fatigued, you really learn who is adding weight to your life. Some maybe find a really Zen sense of Love or something, but for me, I start aggressively removing people from my life.

Food and drink also mask emotions. This is why people who fast often talk about (depending on person) feeling acute emotions like - Sadness - Anger - Joy There's nothing woo-woo about those feelings. Food is literally a drug, and when you fast, there's RAW FEELING left.

Two grams of N-A-C (N-acetylcysteine) daily as well. Most people who are "depressed" don't realize it's due to inflammation. Doctors don't know about N-A-C because there's no money in it. Keeping my carbs at 50 grams or so. I don’t like being in ketosis. Keto was big back when Dan Duchaine was around. Too many side effects for me, but others love it. I began fasting last spring after cancer surgery. I eat from noon to about 6 everyday. I gave up sugar, carbs and most meat. Dropped 40 lbs. I exercise 2 hrs daily. During good weather I bike 30 miles a day. I take turmeric, q10, Dimm, zinc.

Fasting during cancer treatments. I have no scientific evidence to back this up, but I feel like it helps me tremendously.

Just bringing up the subject of fasting makes the medical community nuts and thus it does not catch on. People really believe they will feel much worse. Cells get respiration from glucose or fats. My cancer is fed by sugar so reducing glucose is my goal.

I've been doing fasted training for a while now and my endurance has improved greatly. Teaching your body to burn fat instead of carbs is crucial. I climb big mountains as a hobby and has really improved my performance in the mountains.

Radically changing my lifestyle has eliminated headaches, joint pain, bruising, and trouble sleeping. I honestly feel great. Much more energy. No more cravings. I eat a lot of veggies and fruits. I believe fasting has really made a difference.
