        Some say "tea" isn't "allowed" on a fast, and that's fine, I'll block those people. The kind of people who want to argue over what a "real" fast is aren't the kind of people you want in your life, offline or online.

        Fasting gives you a sense of clarity we rarely have in this world. When you're hungry and fatigued, you really learn who is adding weight to your life. Some maybe find a really Zen sense of Love or something, but for me, I start aggressively removing people from my life.

        Food and drink also mask emotions. This is why people who fast often talk about (depending on person) feeling acute emotions like - Sadness - Anger - Joy There's nothing woo-woo about those feelings. Food is literally a drug, and when you fast, there's RAW FEELING left.

        I never understood all those fancy fasting diets. I find that 3 cups of coffee and a theater size box of Raisinettes do the the trick quite nice......albeit often, unintentional.

        During software development none of my employees could code the needed math for a physics simulator. I wrote it all, code and complex math, while on days 3-7 of a water fast. I dont know if I could have done it sugared up.

        I remember, after my first 20-hour fast, when I took a bite of that first beef cube - it was the most amazing food I had ever tasted. From gobbling food to appreciating it - it changes your perspective on life.

        Every month I try to do 24 hr dry fast, then water fast for a few days. Currently at ~ hr 72. Will break tomorrow with some bone broth. Clears the mind and strengthens both body and will. 💪🧠
