Roger Stone had a First Amendment right to criticize a judge, and the "crosshairs" was b.s. as that's a logo used on other images. But federal court ain't real life, court is where the Rule of Law goes to die.

He shouldn't have done the cross-hairs thing on IG. I am a huge fan of Roger Stone, but he overplayed his hand this time. He should have left the judge alone cos going after her was always going to be frowned upon. She has also been fair to him up until this point!

Seems calculated on his part. She took the bait. Public develops perception of unfair, spiteful judge. In many respects, consistent w/ his performance art. Charges are what they are, but fo emotional reason judge stifles his right to a public defense.

He surrendered that right when he broke the law. Just like you lose the right to vote in some jurisdictions. He had the right to honor the gag order and chose not to. A prime example of freedom of choice not meaning freedom from consequences.
