Fascinating. I’m not sure I understand forgoing music entirely—what?!?!—but there’s definitely something to this. Very long tradition of ecstatic music specifically for this purpose.

Yes, I love music and will never quit, and use it for different purposes, while remaining aware it's programming me. Also why I don't listen to "demonic" or "angry" music.

This is why I listen to the Grateful Dead. It rewires the brain in a deeply balanced way. You get periods of 45 min without Lyrica. Jazz and classical music can do the same. The lyrics are what truly burn into your brain. Something like Miles Davis "Bitches Brew" can heal
