The cities they chose were stupid, both DC and NYC have horrific traffic issues and not good at all for a hub. Atlanta would have been vastly better.

Chicago would've been better but Chicago doesn't deserve to have nice things.

I love Amazon, it makes motherhood soooo much easier.

I don’t think its about Amazon..it’s about terrible economic policy activism that will eventually lead to New York turning into Detroit

It’s funny but The Tea Party led the charge against redevelopment schemes, PILOT agreements and TIF at the local level but everyone called them kooks.

Amazon is in for it now. No place on the planet will take them. They’re doomed because there will be a massive public boycott of them. In other news the virtuous Apple uses slave labor & keeps billion offshore because people stopped using Apple.
-
You’re right. Amazon is not a small struggling business, that’s why its headquarters is going somewhere. NY may say no, but NY isn’t the planet & billion dollar corporations aren’t constrained by national borders.
-
And by the way. My response is always lower taxes for everyone. Right down to the point the government can barely function on life support. Amazon get a break?!?!?!? Give everyone the break, individuals to small business too.

So does the NFL and guess what Congress is full of corruption... Its really up to the city negotiators to get a good deal for the community. But these deals can be good there are too many cities anymore where the school district and hospitals are the bigest employers.

It's not about Amazon. Its about people who dont like them wanting the government to punish them rather than sacrifice and stop using them. Don't like Amazon, stop giving them your money.

These huge companies have been enticing communities to bet millions on the come for too long. Walmart had Rock Island IL spend millions on a hand shake to make way for them only to have Walmart pull out. Money the city didn't have to lose.

It's a false dichotomy. Amazon bilks local taxpayers for incentives it doesn't need AND AOC is economically illiterate.
